Job DescriptionBaptist Health is looking for a Certified Medical Assistant to join our Employee Health Services team in Louisville, KYThe Certified medical assistant works alongside nurses and providers within the Employee Health clinics under the supervision of the clinic services manager, assisting with coordination of direct patient care activities and providing clinical support within the clinic setting for new candidate health screening, annual health screening for existing employees, acute care services, and providing limited courtesy services for non-Baptist employed workers within the adult population.
Services may be provided to minors with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
The medical assistant will work primarily within the health clinics and may be assigned to travel to multiple clinics within a workday.
General administrative and hands on duties will include but are not limited to navigating multiple electronic record systems, patient check in and out, rooming patients, referrals, reporting to departments of health, verification of completed questionnaires and paperwork, obtaining vaccine records and test results, assisting with referrals, scheduling initial and follow up appointments, assisting with medication orders to pharmacy, post-exposure outreach and coordination of appointments and/or testing, stocking the clinics with supplies, and re-ordering supplies.
The Medical Assistant will also obtain vital signs, perform drug testing, qualitative or quantitative respirator fit testing, Ishihara and vision screening, cognitive testing, collect various lab tests, administer injections, and may perform phlebotomy following competency assessment.
Requirements Technical diploma required, must obtain Competency in performing phlebotomy, procedures, specimen collection, and respirator fit testing & use training prior to performing these tasks.
May be asked to obtain certification to perform cognitive screening.
AAMA, AMT, NAHP, NCCT, or AAMP and BCLS is required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
